Where can you go to find a $9.50 grilled cheese sandwich?  Jerry’s Famous Deli in Miami Beach – South Beach. I was pretty shocked to see that a Pizza Bagel only costs $5.50, which has a bagel (usually more expensive then 2 pieces of white bread), sauce, and cheese.  Yet the grilled cheese with 2 pieces of white bread and probably 2 slices of American Cheese should somehow deserve an enormous price tag of $9.50.

Let’t think for a second how much two slices of white bread cost.  Probably less then $0.20 and the cheese is bought wholesale obviously which would also make it around $0.20.  The fries that come with it cost approximately $0.59 based on the amount that came with it. So they are charging almost a 900% mark up on this item.  This is unfair and we suggest in our opinions that you avoid ordering the grilled cheese at Jerry’s Famous Deli unless you feel like getting your wallet raped!
